| A
couple of years ago there started appearing on eBay auction for full
sets of the Easter Smurf. Well come to find out they were fake. Someone
was making fake ones and selling them. The easiest way to tell fake
from real is to put them side by side - you will see right away the
fakes are smaller. Also the fakes are made from a harder and glossy
material. As well on the bottom of all the fakes is a dk blue dot
that is not on the originals. |

 |
| Some
of them like this one were made in 2 piece molds. The smurf was one
mold and the egg another, and if pulled the egg will come off the
back of the smurf. The real ones are all ONE mold and will not seperate
when pulled. |

 |
| This
one is another good example of the 2 piece mold, the egg infront of
the smurf will come off when pulled! |
 |
 |
 |
| Again
another 2 piece mold, if you look closely at the fake in the bottom
picture, you will see the seam where the foot meets the base of the
egg. |

| This
one shows the size difference real well! |

 |
| This
one was made in 2 pieces as well, the baby can be pulled out of the
egg, the authnetic one is one piece and the baby cannot be removed! |
