FAKE IS ON THE
LEFT - REAL IS ON THE RIGHT
Not long ago a disreputable dealer from Hong Kong started selling
fake sets of the Halloween Smurfs on eBay.
They are easy to tell, the material they are made from is much harder
and is even glossy appearing. The UPC barcodes stickers have an entirely
different number on them instead of the normal on which on a real
smurf would include the style number as part of the UPC.
Also the markings on the bottoms of the smurfs are wrong. They are
less legible and they say made in China intead of Germany like it
says on the authentic smurfs. As well the paint is darker and less
detailed and even glossy instead of matte like on the originals. |
